Keep Your Claws In

OUR VETERINARY CLINIC IS CAT-FRIENDLY

The American Association of Feline Practitioners launched the Cat Friendly Practice program to improve veterinary care for cats around the globe. Animal Health Clinic follows their guidelines. We work hard to provide a calm environment for cats to receive the veterinary care they need. Contact us to speak with a veterinarian about your cat’s health.

In order to keep our Cat Friendly Practice designation, we must follow the AAFP’s guidelines. Some of these include:

  1. A separate waiting area, entrance or other creative method to keep cats and dogs out of the same space.
  2. Staff members who are especially knowledgeable about and patient with cats.
  3. Cages that are the appropriate sizes for cats.
  4. Appropriate equipment, including X-rays and anesthesia for cats.

We must reapply for this special designation every year to prove that we are keeping up with these standards. Your feline friends will be safe and happy in our care. Request an appointment at our practice today.
