TRAVELING WITH YOUR PET

Vacations may help humans relax, but your pets are often stressed during summer travel.

Keeping your pets on their regular schedule while on vacation will help reduce stress for animals traveling with their owners. In addition, make sure that your pets have up-to-date tags on their collars, and temporary tags may be added to include vacation contact information or a cell phone number.

If your pets ride in the car, you should stop every three hours to give your pet exercise, a bathroom break and a drink of water.

If you decide to leave your pet behind when you travel, there are many reputable pet sitting services available that we can recommend. Just give us a call.

Inter/Intra state travel requires a health certificate per federal law. If you are planning an excursion with your pet, please contact our office for assistance with obtaining the proper paperwork.
